A memorial to all distinguished aviators who have called South Central Kentucky home. Aviation Heritage Park currently features an Air-Force F-40 Phantom and a Navy F9F-5 Panther, Brigadier General Dan Cherry, a Bowling Green native, downed a North Vietnamese MIG-21 while at the controls of the Phantom on display.  Flying-a Panther jet.  Commander Johnny Magda, a graduate of WKU, commanded the famed Navy Blue Angels 1950.  A T-33 Shooting Star, honoring Glasgow native General Russ Dougherty, is the newest addition to the park.  Open daily down to dusk.
