Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum, built in 1969, with approximately 14,000 SF, is the first of its kind in Kentucky, still the largest and most beautiful. The museum features over 1,600 specimens of wildlife. Exhibits include Polar, Kodiak, Grizzly, Black, Brown and Glacier Bears; Moose, Elk, Caribou; Whitetail, Mule and Reindeer; Buffalo, Mountain Goat, Antelope, Dall, Big Horn and Stone Sheep, Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Snow Leopard and other Cats. Numerous Butterflies, Beetles, Hawks, Owls and many, many others. We pride ourselves on having one of the finest collections of wildlife and marine specimens found, not only in our area, but in the entire Southeast.
